My embossed collages are a pure delight to create. I have a wonderful collection of hand-made papers from particularly the East and I love playing with the different colours to discover new combinations.

I use an etching press to emboss the textures, and finally when the papers are completely dry, which takes days of daily paper changing and is a labour of love, I embellish the works with either gold or silver leaf.

The silver leaf tarnishes gradually over time or can be varnished to keep it bright. The gold leaf doesn’t change with time.
