In November 2015 I returned to the Edinburgh Art Fair with Skylark Galleries after a ten year break. We were 6 artists in total; Talia LeHavi, Trinidad Ball, Eryka Isaak, Linda Samson, guest artist Kathy Prest and myself. Our stand E6 was long and shallow giving us all lots of space and together our work looked “really classy”. The organisers had done an excellent job in promoting the event and the fair was really well attended every day, by visitors who were all so interested in art.

Many visitors showed interest in my work and I enjoyed explaining my techniques and showing samples of the hand-made papers I use. I was delighted to meet such lovely people, some who chose pieces to take home with them!

One of the visitors was only 7 and a budding artists himself! He spent ages lying on the floor near our stand totally focused on his drawing while his mum looked around the fair. He later gave me the picture saying “look – he’s grown too big for his armour”

As well as working at the Fair, I managed to get some early walks around the city, which is breathtakingly beautiful, and I met up with ex Skylark artist, illustrator Kelly Stewart who is based there. I certainly hope to be returning next year.
